1 Information We Collect

BorderEye is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not require user registration or login. We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII).

• No name, email address, or phone number is collected
• No user account or profile is created
• No photos, contacts, or device files are accessed
• No payment information is collected (app is free)
• No precise or background location tracking is performed

2 How We Use Information

The app makes anonymous network requests to the following services in order to function:

• Border status data — fetched from our own secure PHP/MySQL API (sherebetdeveloper.com)
• Exchange rates — fetched from the TRNC Central Bank official XML endpoint (mb.gov.ct.tr)
• Map display — Google Maps SDK renders the map; no location is sent without user interaction

All API requests are anonymous and contain no user identifiers.

BorderEye does not request location permission from your device.

• The app does not use GPS or network-based location services
• The map shows fixed border crossing coordinates — not your position
• No geofencing or background location tracking is performed
• Your physical location is never transmitted to our servers

5 Data Storage & Security

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal user data stored on our servers.

• Border gate traffic data is stored anonymously on our secure MySQL database
• All API communication is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• No user profiles, sessions, or tokens are stored server-side
• App settings (language preference) are stored locally on your device only

6 Children's Privacy

BorderEye does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app contains no content harmful to minors and is suitable for all ages.

Since no personal data is collected from any user, this app is safe for use by all age groups.

7 Your Rights

Since BorderEye does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. However, you retain the following rights:

• Right to uninstall the app at any time
• Right to clear locally stored app data via your device settings
• Right to contact us with any privacy-related questions

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Publish the new version at this same URL
• Notify users via an in-app notice if changes are significant

Continued use of BorderEye after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
