Netrace is a professional field inspection app designed for telecom site technicians.
This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is protected.
1 Information We Collect
Netrace is a business application used by authorized technicians. To provide its core functionality, the app collects the following information:
- Account information β name, surname, and email address provided during registration
- Authentication data β encrypted password (stored as a secure hash) and JWT session tokens
- Site inspection data β site IDs, step completion records, and sector information linked to your account
- Photos and videos β media captured during field inspections, uploaded to our secure server
- Device metadata β file names and timestamps generated automatically for inspection documentation
Netrace does not collect contact lists, precise background location, payment information, or any data unrelated to field inspection tasks.
2 How We Use Information
All collected data is used exclusively to provide the Netrace field inspection service:
- Authentication β to verify your identity and restrict access to authorized personnel only
- Inspection tracking β to record completed steps, uploaded photos, and generated reports per site
- Report generation β to compile PDF reports from inspection data for submission to clients (e.g. Nokia)
- Offline sync β to queue media uploads locally and synchronize when connectivity is restored
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3 Camera & Photo Access
Netrace requires access to your device camera to perform its core function β documenting telecom site installations.
- Camera access is used only when you actively initiate a photo or video capture within the app
- Microphone access is used only when recording video during an inspection step
- Photos are automatically named according to site and step codes (e.g.
HH5193_5.3.1_S1_20260315.jpg)
- Captured media is saved to your device's Netrace gallery album and uploaded to our secure server
- The app does not access existing photos on your device without your action
Photos uploaded to our server are stored in a folder associated with the inspection site and are accessible only to authorized Netrace administrators and technicians.
4 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on our secure servers hosted on Hostinger infrastructure:
- All API communication is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes β never in plain text
- Authentication uses JWT tokens with expiry, stored locally on your device
- Uploaded photos are stored in site-specific folders on our server (
apipanel.eu)
- Local offline queue data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device
Access to inspection data is role-based. Technicians can only view sites and data assigned to them. Administrators manage user access and site configurations.
5 Third-Party Services
Netrace uses the following third-party services:

Google Maps (Navigation)
Used to provide directions to inspection sites. Activated only when the technician taps "Get Directions." Subject to Google Privacy Policy.

Netrace API (apipanel.eu)
Our own backend API hosted on Hostinger. Handles authentication, site data, photo uploads, and report storage. All communication is over HTTPS.
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics tracking (Firebase, Crashlytics, etc.), or social media SDKs in this application.
6 Offline Data & Local Storage
Netrace is designed to work in areas with limited connectivity (such as remote telecom sites):
- Photos and videos captured offline are saved to a local queue on your device
- The queue is stored in the app's private storage β not accessible to other apps
- When connectivity is restored, queued items are automatically uploaded and local copies are deleted
- Language preferences are stored locally on your device
- JWT authentication tokens are stored securely in AsyncStorage on your device
7 Children's Privacy
Netrace is a professional business application intended exclusively for use by authorized adult technicians and administrators. The app:
- Is not directed at children under the age of 13
- Does not knowingly collect information from minors
- Requires administrator approval before any account becomes active
8 Your Rights
As a Netrace user, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access β you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to correction β you may request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to deletion β you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
- Right to restriction β you may request that we limit how we use your data
- Right to uninstall β you may uninstall the app at any time; local data will be removed from your device
If you are an EU/EEA resident, you are protected under GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.
9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Publish the new version at this same URL
- Notify users via an in-app notice if changes are significant
Continued use of Netrace after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
